In previous career paths, Gary Gentry worked for 22 years as a school psychologist and 12 years as a minister of music. He founded a promotions company in South Carolina and then combined efforts with Roy Morgan in 1996. The two words that best describe Gary are “energetic and intense.” He is married to Deborah and they have two children, and four grandchildren. Through contemporary Christian music he enjoys “the opportunity to impact lives for Christ through the medium of music.”
Married to Kathy Morgan, Roy founded Premier with Gary Gentry in 1996 by combining their two respective companies into one. Since then, they and new partner Shane Quick have promoted an estimated 3,000 events reaching nearly 10 million people. "Standing beside a stage and watching an artist or speaker connect with thousands of attendees is the most fulfilling part of our work. This one memory is duplicated at every event we do."
A few years ago, Shane Quick owned and operated his own promotions company. Then he accepted an offer to join Premier. He is "dedicated to seeing Premier Productions grow in reaching the masses with the greatest message the world has ever known - Jesus," he said. He and his wife Kim have one son, Ethan.
An integral part of Premier Productions, Robyn Klass has been with the company from the beginning. She began working with Roy Morgan’s promotion company part time in 1995, while still in college. She came on full time in 1997 and married Mitch Klass in 2002. The couple have a daughter named Ashlyn, who was born in October 2010. “I have been so blessed to work for a company whose mission is to reach others for Christ.”
Vonda Byerly loves crunching numbers. As bookkeeper with Premier since May 2006, she enjoys "being part of a Christian organization that truly cares about seeing lives changed," she said. "God is put first here and it shows throughout our daily operations." Vonda is married to Brent Byerly; they have two children and two dogs. Ace is their boxer mix, who thinks he's a "lap dog." Lady is a collie mix whose favorite hobby is playing with the children. "My favorite part of the day is early morning before the rest of my family wakes up," she said. "I'm able to have my quiet time before the day gets started."
Krista joined the Premier Team in June of 2008. She oversees the ticketing of all events and works with each artist and venue to piece together the ever-changing puzzle that is tour routing. She is married to her husband, Cory, and has 2 children, Alex and Adrianne. Krista and her family spend their free time serving at Desperation Church in Cullman, AL, and attending the various sports and other extra-curricular activities in which the kids are involved. She says the best thing about working at Premier is working with a team of incredible people, and being a part of what the Lord is doing - knowing the results of what we do here are eternal.
A seasoned concert veteran, working her way from volunteering for her first Petra concert in the mid 1980's to Premier concert volunteer, then Local Coordinator to Regional Concert Director, Shannon Habas now serves as Media Relations Director, buying all forms of media. Shannon has worked as a professional clown since she was a "tween", and in 1997, she opened her own clown business, Premier Clowns Unlimited, and still performs regularly. She is also very active with Women's Ministries in her church and serves as a DivorceCare Facilitator as well as does motivational speaking after surviving an abusive marriage and life threatening tumors in 1994. She married Sean Habas in 2001 and she says he is a gift from God! In her spare time she loves to go to the gym, read, scrapbook, play with her cat, Aspen, hike and ride motorcycles!
Michael joined the Premier team in Nov. of 2012. Prior to coming on staff at Premier he served as a Youth Pastor at Crosshaven Church in Cullman, AL. Michael is married to Shelley and they have 2 children, Callie and Susan. "Working for Premier Productions is a dream that is being fulfilled daily. It has given me a platform to reach the masses for Jesus. It is an honor to serve alongside a team of people who's main goal in life is for the glory of Christ."
Josh Chambless, originally from Greensboro NC, joined Premier Productions in October 2011, after working as a Road Manager and Audio Engineer for Christian Music Artists in Nashville. Seeking to travel less and spend more time together, Josh and his wife Ashley now live in Nashville, TN. Josh is responsible for handling all of the nitty-gritty details that go into making a show happen. When not building a spreadsheet or organizing things, Josh loves baseball (go Yankees!), and aspires to one day complete a pilot's license.
Tour Accountant with Premier Productions since September 2010, he began with Winter Jam Tour Spectacular and has expanded his responsibilities to include more concerts and events over the past few years. He graduated from Denver Seminary in 1997 and Olivet Nazarene University in 1989. He is married to Amy and they have two children, Caleb and Emma.
A contract writer for Premier since 2004, Melody Hennessee joined the company as Marketing Assistant in January 2011. Graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in mass communications and journalism, she has worked as a reporter, feature writer and columnist. She and her husband Dace have been married since 1987, and they have two children: a daughter, Jordan, and a son, Kenan. "I am so glad to be working for a company that is all about God, and all about bringing people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ - through music."
Julia joined the Premier staff in October 2013 as the Street Team Director, assigning and supervising our 100+ corps of Street Team Leaders across the nation, and into Canada. Married to Glenn Record since 1989, they have three young adult children, and one daughter-in-law (as of June 1, 2014).
"I love being a part of a team that works toward the common goal of seeing people grow in their faith," she said. "I have had the best time getting to know the amazing people we call Street Team Leaders. I am blessed every day by their selfless and loving attitudes. They make it a joy to come to work."
Katie has been the assistant to the Ticketing Director since joining Premier Productions in January 2014. A graduate of Bevil State, she earned a degree in English Literature. She says the best part about working for Premier is simply being a part of a company that’s goal is to progress the Kingdom of God, and is doing so in such a creative way.
Jordan Meggs joined Premier Productions as the Social Media Director in April 2014. The former Director of Media Ministries at Northbrook Baptist Church in Cullman, AL, he graduated from Samford University with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications and a degree in Religion in 2007. He married Jill Meggs on February 27, 2010.
Mallory joined the Premier Team in May 2013 as a summer intern and returned in May 2014 as an administrative assistant. Mallory graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2014 with degrees in Communication Studies and American Studies. Mallory enjoys music, anything outdoors, and spending time with her dogs, Mac and Layla. "The greatest aspect of working on the Premier team is that we get to glorify God and share the love of Christ through what we do."
Jeri graduated from the University of North Alabama with a degree in Entertainment Industry & a minor in Marketing. She started working with Premier in May of 2014. If she is not at work, you can usually find her outside reading a book! "I feel very blessed to be working with a company whose main goal is to spread God's word," she said.
David is a graduate of Greenville College where he majored in Music Industry. He and his wife Maggie hail from the Pittsburgh area and are avid fans of all their black and gold teams. David enjoys playing piano and songwriting with or without an audience. He resides and works in Nashville. "I appreciate that the Premier team creates reliably successful events by collective contribution," David said.
