Rosilyn Houston began her banking career 30 years ago as a part-time teller. She has held various front-line and leadership positions in the industry and has served over 14 years in the BBVA Compass retail, wealth, and commercial bank lines of business. Prior to her current appointment as the head of U.S. Human Resources, she served as the Regional Retail Executive in the California, Alabama and Florida markets. She has also led Commerical, Wealth, and Retail teams in North Texas, responsible for the 1200+ employee base and the achievement of service excellence, operational integrity, and overall market profitability.
Rosilyn’s teams were noted as high performing and award winning. Reporting directly to the Chairman and CEO, Onur Genç, Rosilyn is the highest ranking female in the U.S., and the first African American to serve on the bank’s management committee.
Rosilyn leads the organization’s Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Employee Engagement, Culture & Employee Communications, Corporate Premises, HR Data Analytics, Recruiting, Training & Development, and Diversity & Inclusion strategies.
Rosilyn, a Southern CA native and a proud mother of three accomplished children, ages 29, 23, and 15. She has a strong passion for giving to her family and to her community. She is a mentor to many.
Rosilyn has served in the non-profit faith-based sector, previously spending five years as Chief Executive Coordinator for Bishop T.D. Jakes, General Manager for The Potter’s House of Dallas and T.D. Jakes International Ministries. Rosilyn and her husband, Ron, are active Small Group leaders at their place of worship equipping couples to fight for the family.
