Winter Jam Completes Most Successful Tour Ever!

Winter Jam Tour Spectacular 2014 wrapped up its 13-week, 47-city nationwide tour last weekend with a record breaking number of attendees. The most successful tour in its 19-year history, Winter Jam attracted more than 556,000 people all over the nation and it is expected to claim the title for the 4th consecutive year as the world’s largest tour (first quarter, as recorded by the industry’s standard Pollstar).Headlined by Newsboys, Lecrae, Tenth Avenue North and seven other outstanding artists, Winter Jam sold out 33 of its concerts in the nation’s top venues on the tour and braved inclement weather on many dates. Rounding out the outstanding artist roster were Thousand Foot Krutch, Plumb, NewSong, Colton Dixon, Love & The Outcome, Everfound and Derek Minor!Atlanta’s Georgia Dome hosted its first ever Winter Jam on February 8 and welcomed a resounding 30,500-plus attendees. Along with a full day of fun at the Dome, renowned high-wire artist Nik Wallenda fueled extra excitement with his Christian message and heart-pounding feat of walking on a wire above the crowd that day.  Highlights such as these were recorded, posted and tweeted by artists and fans throughout the tour, including prayer requests by Nick Hall.Hall, founder of the PULSE student movement, served as the speaker during the tour and presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a clear and powerful manner each night.  Over the course of the tour, more than 100,000 responded to his message to receive Jesus.One of the most exciting aspects of the tour is the difference it makes for eternity, said Roy Morgan, one of the owners of Premier Productions, who has promoted Winter Jam each year alongside Winter Jam’s founding band NewSong.“There are tons of stories of changed lives,” Morgan said, “more than we’ll ever know.”For more details and updates, go to www.jamtour.com
