Winter Jam Helps Children Through Holt Sponsorships

By February 20, 2015No Comments

Winter Jam 2015 Tour Spectacular is more than great music. It’s real ministry. Winter Jam offers attendees the opportunity to sponsor a child for $30 a month through Holt International at each of the 47 concerts on the tour.

Mintiwab is a 14-year-old girl from Ethiopia. She progressively lost her hearing as a child and is now deaf. She lives with her family but has not been able to get the services she needs. She is just one 5,069 children who have been sponsored so far through Holt International during Winter Jam. These children from 11 countries around the world are orphans or children with special needs. Holt International works to keep children with their birth families whenever possible and if best for the child. They also help facilitate domestic and international adoptions, as well as temporary foster care and long-term group home care.

Holt International is a Christian organization committed to expressing God’s compassion for children.  Holt has three main goals:

* Find and support permanent, loving families for children who are orphaned, abandoned or at serious risk of separation from their family;
* Provide services to ensure that children will grow and develop to their fullest potential; and
* Lead the global community in advocating on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable children.
